Ground Clearence !!

Hey guys, Technology Freak here. so today i will talk about a major thing which you should see while buying a vehicle. so, you may ask that how to choose the perfect ground Clearence ?Well, It is a bit complicated, becuase you need to check a lot of parameters before choosing a car. So, what are the parameters ?

The parameters are-

i) the location in which you stay

ii) what purpose are you going to use the car

iii)  What terrain you would expect the car to tackle

So, after deciding them, now you can choose the ground clearence. So, for choosing a SUV, which should be capable of medium to full off-roading, you need 180-220 mm of Ground clearence. One of the car which is a perfect example for very high ground clearence is the Mahindra Thar. The Thar has wooping 226 mm of ground clearence ! It will be more than enough for normal use and also for hard off-roading.

Sedan:-

As sedans are built for luxary and Comfort, Don't expect a lot of ground clearence from them. For seadans, 160-180 mm is enough. some of them may be very low to the ground but those come in the category of coupe and also have a very powerful drivetrain and aerodynamics. One of the very popular sedan from the indian car market is Honda City. It offers very great comfort and a punchy and high revving motor. The ground clearence of Honda city is 165 mm.

Hatchback:-

Hatchbacks, these are the car which are mostly owned by families in India and are also a very cheap and great mode of transport , as they are available in different prices with the cheapest being under 5 Lakhs ( before On-road Prices). so, the average Ground clearence of hatchback in India is 168-170 mm. I would say that this ground clearence is good and great for city commutes and also for kaccha roads (kaccha- bad/light off-road).
